Harry Cecil Brickert, 76, died at 6 a.m. Dec. 25, 2008, at his daughter's home in Indianapolis. Born on April 18, 1932, in Martinsville, he was the son of the late Charles Leroy and Mary Marie (Fisher) Brickert. He was a self-employed contractor and, more specifically, a building mover. He was a Korean War veteran, serving as a corporal in the U.S. Army from June 20, 1949, to August 26, 1952. Survivors include four sons, Daniel Brickert of Indianapolis, David Brickert of Coatesville, Jimmy Brickert of Plainfield and Randy Brickert of Greencastle; a daughter, Becky Buschard of Indianapolis; two brothers, Paul Brickert of Monrovia and Denny Brickert of Indiana; four sisters, Barbara Gray of Ohio, Beverly Grider of Westport, Clara Carter of Cloverdale and Mary Elizabeth Brickert of Mooresville; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ronnie, Richard, Jimmy and Charles (Jr.) Brickert. The Rev. Bill Bray will conduct a celebration of life service at noon Monday December 29th at Neal and Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. Burial will be in Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon. Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion honor guard will conduct a military graveside service at the conclusion of the graveside service
