Jun. 13, 1969 NC). Beulah, b. 09/13/1891 (Beulah was only 18 when she died) and was my g-aunt. Her parents were Louisa Loftin, b.c. 1855, m. William Austin Powell, 17 Nov. 1871, d. Feb. 1937. (Louisa Loftin was the daughter of Louisa Graves, b.c. 1829, m. Jesse Loftin.) Louisa Loftin lived in/around Copiah County, MS. Wm. Austin Powell's parents are ukn at this time and little is known about him. He could have possibly come from AR after the Civil War, as evidence shows he was released as a POW from Vicksburg, MS.
