wife of Javous W.Ingram Printed in the Times Post, Houston, Mississippi, dated November 27 1941 Mrs. J T Ingram, Pioneer Citizen, Dies after Long Illness On the eve of Thanksgiving, Mrs. J W Ingram, pioneer resident of Houston, died early Tuesday morning after an illness of several weeks at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe L Davis with whom she had made her home for 34 years. Her death came a few hours past the 10th anniversary of the death of her husband. Mrs. Ingram was born in Houston 88 years ago and had spent her entire life here. She was the daughter of a former Methodist preacher of the Northeast Mississippi Conference, the Rev. Henry L Holiday. Her mother was Louise Brinker. Mrs. Ingram whose maiden name was Massey was known for her gentle nature and love for and sympathetic understanding of humanity. Funeral services were conducted from the Davis residence Wednesday morning at ten o'clock with the Rev. Geo. Williams, pastor of the Methodist Church of which she had been a member since youth, and the Rev. W C Stewart, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were her grandsons, Frank A., Jas., and Jack, Owen, Wilburn and Joe L Davis., Jr., Lone Hartey Smith, James Dulaney and Mr. Jim Alexander. Besides Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Ingram leaves another daughter, Mrs. Frank Owen of Dumas, Ark., and a son, the Rev. Joe H Ingram of Mineral Wells, Miss. A sister, Miss Holiday, also survives.
