From The Chronicle, Shippensburg, PA, Thursday, April 10, 1924:

Mrs. Mary Ann Burkholder, wife of David Burkholder, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. S. Barrick, of Bloserville, Saturday, March 29, following a several months' illness from complications, aged 74 years. Mrs Burkholder was a native of Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Mr & Mrs George Gelwicks. he was a member of the Church of God of Newburg.
Surviving are her husband, and these children: Albert A Burkholder, near Shippensburg; Jesse A, of Kelliher, Minn.; Clarence Carl of Lompoc, Cal; Miss Maria A Burkholder, East King street; Mrs C. S. Barrick, Bloserville. Also nine grandchildren, one brother B F Gelwicks, Scotland; and one sister, Mrs D S Shulenberger, Shippensburg. The funeral, with Revs. Flora and Sollenberger officating, was held Tuesday, April 1 and interment made in Spring Hill cemetery.
