Shellsburg Aug. 18-Mrs. Esther Dany Fish 80 long time resident of Shellsburg, died last night at the home of her daughter Mrs. Earl Hays, at Cedar Rapids, after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Fish was born July 21, 1807, near Shellsburg to Mr. and Mrs. Isac M Newton. In 1884 she married George Fish who died in 1919. she was a member of the Church of Christ.
Deceased is suried by her daughter Mrs. Hays, a son, Oscar Fish of Rowley, seven grandchildren, six great-grand children and two great-great grandchildren. A sister Mrs. W. C. Knox of Nashua, and two brothers Ephriam and Charles of Newton also are living.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon (tomorrow) at the Federated church in Shellsburg with the Rev. Dale Robertson in charge. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
Friends may call at the Fry-Holland funeral home in Vinton until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
