Eliza was born to James and Mary Reed about 1835 in Ohio. She married a William Douglass (sic) in 1855. They later divorced. They had a son named Beach who died in 1935 and is buried at the Los Angeles National Cemetery. Eliza never remarried. She is buried next to her brother Dayton.
