Mr. Cole was born to the union of Wash and Johnnie Mae Cole. He loved sports and loved to sing. He graduated from Southwestern High School in 1968 and after graduation was joined in holy matrimony to Cheryl Hawthorne to which his first child was born. After returning from the U.S. Army, he was divorced and later married to Jacqueline, and to this union four children were born. Mr. Cole started working for Ford Motor Co. in 1972 and worked there for more than 20 years as a layout gage inspector until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; children, Willis Jr., Kimberly, Russel, Jennifer, Bridgett and Kwangelene; mother, Johnnie Mae; siblings, Margaret, Loretta, Shirley, John and Frederick; seven grandchildren and many other relatives.
