Thomas Kent Asbury, 61, died Sunday, September 12, 2004. He was born June 7, 1943 in Wamego, KS to Thomas and Velma Meredith Asbury.

Mr. Asbury attended Wamego Grade School and Wamego High School graduating in 1961. He married Clara K. Doll on October 14, 1967 at Saint Bernard's Church in Wamego. She survives.

Mr. Asbury worked for Farmers Insurance for 34 years and was a member of the family business Allied Enterprises for 35 years. He was an avid golfer, sports fan, and boating enthusiast. He was a member of Junior Achievement and Washburn Rural Optimist Club.

He is survived by his wife, Clara, Topeka; sons, Josh Asbury and his wife Debra, and their son, Tanner Asbury, Topeka; Adam Asbury and his wife Amanda, Denver, CO; brother, Terry Asbury, Topeka, sister, Sue Bowdre, Kansas City, KS, mother Velma Asbury, Wamego, Topeka. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas M. Asbury.

Mr. Asbury will lie in state from 4-8 pm Tuesday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, where the family will greet friends from 6-8 pm.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
