WALKER DAVIS BURIED AT LYSTRA FRIDAY
Funeral service were held at Lystra on Friday morning for Walker Davis
85, who died at the home of his son, Tom Davis near Ryan.
Mr. Davis was born in Heard County, Ga. and moved from there to this county
in 1907.
He was a deacon of Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church, and has been active in community activities for many years.
Surving are three sons Tom, Shaw and Carvie Davis; three daughters Mrs. Joycie Bonds, Mrs. Dera Talley and Miss Marie Davis; 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Rev W O Hunt and Rev. Haydon Copeland conducted the funeral.
