Thomas was the son of Thomas and Mary (Corbett) Means.
He was married to Hazel Nolan who preceded him in death as did his parents.

He served in the Canadian Army.

Surviving are a daughter Helen Kohlmetz and son Thomas S. Means Jr.,nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Tom had resided at the Illinois Masonic home at Sullivan Illinois for the last few years.
