Pioneer Bishop of Osmond Ward is Suddenly Called
Was Ill Less than Twenty-four Hours Gall Stones the Cause
The community was shocked to hear of the sudden death of Bishop Andrew Nielson of Osmond, which occurred at the family home Tuesday evening, death resulting from gall stones. Mr Nielson had been feeling good until the morning of his death at which time he was taken suddenly ill and gradually grew worse until evening when death claimed the aged gentleman. Only the day before his death he was attending to business matters in Afton.
Bishop Nielson was on of the oldest settlers of Star Valley having settled here more then thirty years ago, coming to this place from Sandy, Utah. He was born in Sweden about sixty years ago, and being converted to the Church came to America.
The deceased leaves seven children to mourn his loss. He was buried in the Afton cemetery today.
