Mrs. Sarah Josephine Havens Barnes, 92, died Wednesday, Aug 4, 1982, at Gulf Coast Nursing Home Pascagoula. And the widow of John D Barnes Sr.
Mrs. Barnes was born in the Daisy Vestry communty and was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. She was a member of Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church in Vancleave.
Survivors include two daughter, Mrs. George Paul [Hazel] McClain, Vancleave, and Mrs. Fred M. [Annie Lou] Touchstone, Fort Myers, Fla.; three sons, J.D. Barnes Jr, Eddie W. Barnes and Willie Elmond Barnes, all of Vancleave; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Friday, Aug 6, 1982, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. On Saturday, Aug 7, 1982, Mrs. Barnes will lie in state at Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church from 9 am until funeral service at 10 a.m...
