Phyllis Perdue, 84 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2008 at her home.
She was born on November 6, 1924 in Monticello, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Phillip "Phil" and Laura (Gregory) Barrier. She married George Filmore "Pete" Perdue who preceded her in death. .
She was survived by one son, Gary Perdue of Somerset, Kentucky; three daughters, Linda Littrel and Connie Young, both of Monticello, Kentucky and Sue Guffey of Mission Viejo, California; two brothers, Kay Barrier of Walton, Kentucky and Jack Barrier of Georgia; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jack Perdue; one daughter, Betty Keith; two brothers, Frank and Milton Barrier; one sister, Mildred Foster; and two grandchildren.
The family received friends on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello, Kentucky with Bro. Stan Stephenson officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
