The Lamar County Echo, April 1979. 'Robert Lee Stover, 88. of 2055 West Sherman Street, died Saturday, April 14, 1979, in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, April 16, in the Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Larry Martin of the First Baptist Church. Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 17, in Westlawn Cemetery, Borger, Texas.

Mr. Stover was born July 4, 1890, in Tennessee, son of Elic and Mary Hutchison Stover. In 1913 he married Rosa Ella Clark, and she preceded him in death in 1968. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. R. G. Hess of Paris, and Mrs. Marion Plemons of Amarillo; seven sons, W. F. Stover and J. D. Stover, both of Paris, Dee Stover and S. L. Stover, both of Gainsville; Bobby Stover of Sayre, Oklahoma, R. E. Stover of Pampa and Nelson Stover of Dallas; 38 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Florence Isom of Greenville'.

His headstone says he died in June. The death date is April.
