Louis Jaeger, 78, of Maribel, died Sunday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maribel. The Rev. Armin Engel will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Jaeger was born Feb. 5, 1892, in the Town of Cooperstown, Manitowoc County, son of the late Herman and Helena Olp Jaeger. He married Leona Pautz May 17, 1916, at Maribel. He farmed at Maribel until 1951 when he retired and moved into the village of Maribel. He also sold insurance for the Manitowoc County Fire Insurance Co. for 28 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harvey of Two Rivers and Reuben of Maribel; two daughters, Mrs. Milford (Helen) Bubolz of Manitowoc and Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Schuman of Maribel; three brothers, Walter and Albert of Manitowoc, and Alfred of Maribel; a step-brother, George Meyers, of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Becker of Green Bay, Mrs. Ida Gauger of Manitowoc and Mrs. Lester Krueger of Larrabee, and 11 grandchildren. Three grandchildren and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark, after 4 o'clock this Monday afternoon and after 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of services.
