Woodbury resident and Monteagle native Eunice Marie Pack (Big Mama) Elkins, 86, died May 7 at Centennial Medical Center after an extended illness.

A retired seamstress with Colonial and a member of Smith Grove Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late James Cecil and Ella Mai Parsons Pack; and was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Hilton Elkins; daughter, Violet Elkins Mayo; son, David Harlan (Cotton) Elkins; two infant sons, grandchildren Kevin and Timmy Elkins; two infant grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

She is survived by daughter, Lola Elkins Reed of Woodbury; brothers, Tommy Pack of Monteagle and Alton Pack of Layton, Utah; and sisters, Gladys Osborne of Fairfield, Ala., and Lucille Douglas of Birmingham, Ala.; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Woodbury Funeral Home Chapel with Odell Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Elkins Cemetery.

Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
