He was the informant listed on Grace's death cert.

Missouri death certificate # 61-024752 male, white, married, retired warehousman. Parents, mother Elizabeth and father unknown Cook. Wife Edith also was informant. Klingner Mortuary Co. Funeral Home. Cause of death was possible coronary thrombosis, secondary known diabetic since 1951. Interred in Hazelwood Cemetery August 2, 1961.

His WW I draft card indicated he was a coach painter for the Frisco RR. Mary Lavine Cook was wife on it.

The 1900 census shows him with his father Abraham, a sisters Grace, and Wealthy, brother Clarence, and himself. Mother is not in this census. I think there may be an error and Eleanor that is buried next to Abraham is his mother. But possible he had been married before but the ages of the children and the death date of the mother just seem to make a in between reading lines seem right to me.

1910 Springfield, MO. He is listed age 27, wife Vina age 23 and a cousin age 23 Lucy Gunn.

1930 Springfield, MO Gilman age 47, wife listed as Vena age 43 and Eleanor a daughter age 18, her name is Lucy Eleanor Cook. She married Harold Hubert Henegar, had a son Harold Hubert Henegar, Jr.
