Lincoln Journal Star, Saturday, December 1, 2007:

"Robert Kosmicki, 67, Lincoln, died Sunday (11/25/07) in Omaha. Born in Alliance to the late Doc and Blanch (Moore) Kosmicki. Graduated from St. Agnes Academy where he excelled in sports. Received degree from Chadron State and two masters from the UNL. Served his country in the Army. Taught at the Job Corps, Chadron. He actively campaigned and participated in Bobby Kennedy's campaign train ride across Nebraska. Governor Exon appointed him to the T.A. Program in the War on Poverty. Bob was invited to try out for the St. Louis Cardinals and played semi-pro football. Bob loved adventure, swam in the Amazon and watched the sun set in Tahiti. His latest love was tinkering at his cabin in Ashland and the morning crossword puzzles.

Survivors: wife, Stephanie Maser; daughters, Elizabeth Brunke and husband Arlynn; Erika Dodds and husband, Bill; son, Daniel R. Kosmicki, all of Lincoln; brother, William Kosmicki and wife, Herta, Alliance; sister, Karen Dietrich and husband, Willard, Alliance; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services 3:30 p.m. Wednesday (12/5/07) at First Plymouth Church, 20th & D Streets, Lincoln. Rosary 7 p.m. Tuesday (12/4/07) at St. Patrick's Church, 6126 Morrill Ave., Lincoln. Interment at later date at Fort McPherson National Cemetery."
