Mr. Westerfield Greer died at his home in the Walnut Hill country, last Thursday. Mr. Greer was on of the best men and citizens of the county and was long member of the Christian church. He was about fifty years of age, and leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss. H [sic] was the father of Mr. Newt* Greer, who married Miss Pearl Chamberlin a few days ago.

The remains were interred in the Walnut Hill cemetery Friday.

Mr. Westerfield Green [sic] died at his home in the Walnut Hill country last week, at about fifty years of age, leaving a wife and several children to mourn his loss. He was a leading member of the Christian church and was regarded as a splendid citizen.

*He didn't have a son named Newt. Junius Scott Greer is the son that married Pearl Chamberlain but according to Junius' bio they were married Dec. 22, 1909, not Feb 1910. Per Find A Grave member 49300572 the Dec. 22, 1909 is the date listed in the family bible.

Per family trees his middle name is listed as Veristine and Verestine.
