FRAZEYSBURG - Kathryn R. Gault, 90, of Frazeysburg, died Monday morning, May 28, 2007, at the Clay House, Zanesville.
Born Dec. 10, 1916, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Daisy Power Reichardt. She was a graduate of Marietta College having received her bachelor's degree and later her master's degree from The Ohio State University. Mrs. Gault was a teacher for 43 years and taught in several area schools, retiring in 1983 from Tri-Valley Schools where she had taught since 1966. In 1996 Mrs. Gault was inducted into the Tri-Valley School District Hall of Distinction. She was a member of the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church and was church organist at Muskingum Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of Rosewood Garden Club of Dresden, Frazeysburg Revitalization Association, Muskingum County Retired Teachers Association and was a 4-H adviser for many years.
Surviving are three daughters, Candace Chapman of Dresden, Penelope (Kel) Young of Cleveland and Valerie (Richard) Dougherty of Findlay; five grandchildren, Benjamin Young, Natalie Young, Katherine Chapman, Mallory Dougherty and Erin Dougherty; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Lauren Young; two nephews; and one niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Gault, whom she married June 4, 1943, and who died Feb. 3, 1971.
No calling hours will be observed.
Private funeral services will be conducted by Dr. James A. Schumacher. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-Valley Foundation for the purpose of educational scholarships, in care of Tri-Valley High School, 36 E. Muskingum Ave., Dresden, OH 43821.
