Vic was the son of Wasil & Lena (Czyzus Zaleska. Husband of Winifred K.(Taylor)Zaleska, whom he married May 5, 1941, in Brocton, Chatauqua Co., NY. He was a supervisor with Weyerhauser Paper Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1975. He was an Army veteran of WW II, serving in the European Theater with the 7th Armored Division. He was a member of St.Anne's Church and a past member and chairman of the Ashburnham School Committee. He was a former Cub Scout Leader, and a member of the Forever Young Club of Ashburnham. He was survived by his wife Winnifred of So. Ashburnham; a son, Gary T. Zaleska of Lunenburg; a daughter, Robin R. Zaleska of Brighton; two sisters, Felice Morse of Brocton and Sophie Therriault of Hudson; and two granddaughters. His family & friends all nicknamed him "Peach." ( Probably because he was one!)
Funeral was held from Lamoureaux Funeral home, Gardner, with a 11am Mass at St. Anne's Church in So. Ashburnham; Rev.Richard Fortin was the celebrant. Military honors were accorded by American Legion Post 142 and VFW Post 5509, both of Ashburnham. Burial was in St. Denis Cemetery.
