Son of Amos Boynton and Miss. Partridge. Brother of Rodney. Rodney died young from an accidental gunshot. Both parents died around 1834 and Jacob was adopted by his uncle Jacob Boynton brother of Amos. He married Roxanna Melissa Sprague and had one son Charles Albert Boynton.
