Patricia A. Korba, 81, Argos, formerly of Peru, passed away at 12:01 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. She had lived in Argos since 1996.
She was born Nov. 14, 1927 in Peru to Milo and Kathryn (Wahlig) Gable. She married Joseph M. Korba Nov. 22, 1951, and he preceded her in death Feb. 16, 1996.
Patricia was formerly employed as a secretary at the Peru Foundry. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Peru, the Daughter's of Isabella and the Psi Iota Xi Sorority.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan Chittum and husband Ted, Bourbon; and two grandsons, Tyler Chittum and wife Brandi, Greenfield, and Zachary Chittum, Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and an infant daughter, Leesa Korba.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 W. Fifth St., Peru, with the Rev. Francis Kilcline officiating.
Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Peru.
