Sarah Lisette Woodruff died as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.

Sarah was an athlete who played softball, volleyball and tennis. She loved music, movies and spending time with her friends.

Sarah graduated from Anderson High School in 2007 and was a student at Ball State University, majoring in elementary and special education.

Sarah grew up and was active in the First United Methodist Church in Anderson.

Sarah was a compassionate and kind person, who loved life, her family, her friends and her animals. She is sorely missed by all.

Survivors include her father and mother, Randall and Lucetta Woodruff; her beloved brother, Ian; paternal grandmother, Joan Woodruff, Anderson; paternal uncle and aunt, Mike and Sue Woodruff, Avon; paternal uncle and aunt, David and Ann Woodruff, Anderson; maternal uncle and aunt, Sutton and Jaqui Farnham, Jacksonville, Fla.; and, maternal aunt and uncle, Christie and Whitney Pope, Sedona, Ariz.

She was also survived by cousins, Jordan Woodruff, USMC, Iraq; Cara (husband, Brian) McIntyre, Anderson; April Woodruff, Anderson; Alyson (husband, Jeff) Elder, Carmel; Brent Woodruff, Avon; Lucetta Pope (husband, Ed Murphy), South Bend; Delanie Pope (husband, Karl Butterer), Grand Rapids, Mich.; Whitney (wife, Melissa) Pope, Los Angeles, Calif.; Braxton Pope, Los Angeles, Calif.; MacKenzie Farnham, Gainesville, Fla.; and Davenport Farnham, N.Y.

Also surviving are paternal great-aunt, Mona Jane Keith; paternal great-uncle, Phillip (wife, Cathy) Woodruff; maternal great-aunt, Beatrice Roughton; and many family and friends who loved her dearly.

Sarah was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents, Clarence and Frances Helmick; paternal grandfather, Bill Woodruff; and maternal grandparents, F.R. and Christine Farnham.
