BOYD, William E. - 1112 W. Boatfield, age 72, died Sunday, April 20, 1980 at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday at the Zelley Funeral Home. Rev. James D. Lougheed officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Mr. Boyd will lie in state at the LeRoy S. Zelley Funeral Home, N. Franklin at Bennett after 7PM this evening. Mr. Boyd was born in Finch, Arkansas, March 8, 1908. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad until 1954 when he came to Flint where he was employed by Fisher Body Turnsted Division retiring in 1974 after 20 years service.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Joyce) Dunavin of Crown Point, Indiana; Mrs. Jim (Lois) Bugg of Davison; Mrs. Edna Louise Nelson of Flint; stepson, Edward and wife Phyllis Wilkinson of Delaplaine, Arkansas; brother, Mr. Tom and wife Margaret Boyd of Yucca Valley, California; 2 sisters, Mrs. RayAnna Schmuecker of Bethel, Connecticut, Mrs. Sunshine Duba of Arlington, Virginia; 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 1971 by his wife Lucille. Arrangements by Zelley Funeral Service.
