Louis worked for Swift and Co. which produced things such as soap and meat, all products related to the giant stockyards that Chicago was famous for. He moved with his second wife from Chicago to Texas, probably because of work, and later to Massachusetts.
He met and married his third wife in Massachusetts. She was said to have been his secretary.
He died in Florida and is buried there.
