Dec 1934, Obituary:
MRS. JULIA E.B. HOY
Mrs. Julia E. Blair Hoy passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. B.G. Richardson, Cienega Ave., San Dimas, Monday evening at 8:30. Mrs. Hoy has been in failing health for many years.

She was born in New York state, September 29, 1860 and had lived in California for the last 13 years, coming to this state from Salt Lake City. For the last five years the family home has been in San Dimas but previous to that time they lived in Los Angeles. She has lived with the Richardsons for the last 23 years.

Besides the daughter above mentioned she also leaves one son, Valentine S. Hoy, Los Angeles, and three grandchildren. She was a member of the Episcopal church in Los Angeles.

Funeral services will be held in the Wee Kirk of the Heather, Forest Lawn Memorial park. The Rev. B.A. Warren, pastor of the Episcopal church, Pomona, will officiate. Interment will be made in Forest Lawn. Todd & Reeves are in charge of arrangements.
===================
Note: Julia suffered terribly from Tic douloureux, exquisitely severe headaches of penetrating pain; episodes can be so debilitating that sufferers become hopelessly desperate. It is known as the "suicide disease".

Note: "Trigeminal neuralgia, also known as tic douloureux, is a disorder of the fifth cranial nerve (trigeminal nerve) characterized by attacks of intense, stabbing pain affecting the mouth, cheek, nose, and/or other areas on one side of the face. The exact cause of trigeminal neuralgia is not fully understood."
