A self-employed business owner and resident and native of Pierre Part, he died at 4 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005, in Morgan City. He was 72 and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Visiting at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, celebrated by the Rev. Clarence Waguespack. Interment in church cemetery.
He is survived by his former wife, Anne Mae Landry Aucoin, Pierre Part; three daughters and sons-in-law, Myrna and Ed Chaisson, Sherry and Barry Breaux and Sandy and Darrin Blanchard, all of Pierre Part; four grandsons, Cody Blanchard, Maxwell Breaux, Seth Breaux and Lucas Blanchard; three sisters, Allie Breaux, Pierre Part, Lucy Charlet, Bruly St. Martin, and Isabelle Delany, New Orleans; and three brothers, Hubert and Leonard Aucoin, Pierre Part, and Lloyd Aucoin, Morgan City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalbert and Lillian Daigle Aucoin; two sons, Albert Jr. and Glenn Aucoin; two sisters, Eve Mabile and Helen Gaspard; and a brother, John Aucoin.
He was a member of Landry-Dominque American Legion Post 328.
