Funeral services for Edouard Allen Bersche were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at the Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs. The Rev. Daniel Holthus conducted the services. Interment was in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Bersche, 62, of 625 Fourth Ave. W., Rock Springs, died at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2002, at the Sage View Care Center. He was a lifelong resident of Rock Springs.
Bersche was born on Oct. 28, 1939 in Denver, the son of Vic and Hazel Porter Bersche.
He attended schools in Rock Springs and was a graduate of Rock Springs High School with the class of 1957. He later served in the U.S. Navy.
Bersche was employed by Halliburton Oil Services as a bookkeeper and later worked for Vaughn's Plumbing and Heating.
His interests included fishing, playing pool and spending time with his family.
Bersche is survived by his mother, Hazel Bersche of Rock Springs; three sons, Vance Bersche of Center, Neb., Vince and wife Naomi Bersche of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Vic Bersche of Lincoln, Neb.; one brother, Clayton Bersche of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Anne Frisbee of Worland, and Kathryn McFarland of Rock Springs; three grandsons; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vic Bersche.
