EDGAR BRAYTON

Funeral services for Edgar Brayton were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1993 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

The Very Rev. Lukas Kotzakis officiated. Interment was in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Rock Springs.

Pallbearers were Harry Pappas, Joe Gaviotis, Ed Trujillo, Jack Gunyan, Pape Gaviotis and Bill Kouris.

Brayton, 92, of 1129 Converse Court, Rock Springs, died at about 7:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1993 at his home.

A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Brayton died following a lengthy illness. He was born Sept. 30, 1901 in Butler, Mo., the son of the late Fred W. and Blanche Macelroy Brayton. He attended schools in Virginia and Missouri and was a graduate of high school there. Brayton was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He married the former Louise Mary Kwolek and she preceded him in death April 12, 1971. He later married the former Mary Pentor in Green River on Aug. 6, 1972.

Brayton was the retired owner and operator of the Brayton Barber Shop for 48 years until his retirement in 1983.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Brayton of Rock Springs; one nephew and one great-nephew.

In addition to his parents, Brayton was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Darrell Brayton.
