To this union were ---rn nine children of whom six---with the grief-stricken husband survive her. Brother and Sister Rouner moved to Knox county Mo. in 1861 and have lived there ever since.
Soon after settling in their new home, the subject of this sketch was converted and united with the Newark Baptist Church. Later in 1870 she moved her membership to Shiloh Church of which she remained a consistent and faithful member until her---------herLord and His church , and was always, when able, at his house of worship. Her seat there is vacant and those who visit her home no more enjoy her kindly ministrations, but she has left an influence that will long be felt constraining to those who knew her to a better life.
The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. G. W. Humphrey at the church where she had so often worshipped God, and her body was laid to rest in Shiloh cemetery just back of the church almost as near the pulpit as was her seat in the sanctuary. May the promises of God comfort the bereaved and help them to hold His way until the summons calls them to the glad reunion.
