Lucile Mary Guidry, age 97, of Nederland, passed away May 10, 2006, at her residence.

Mrs. Guidry was born March 25, 1909 in Gueydan, LA and has been a resident of the mid-county area since 1948.

She is survived by her son, Frank D. Guidry and wife, Mary of Nederland; a daughter, Theresa Rae Sykes also of Nederland; six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ann Guidry.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 PM Friday, May 12, 2006 at Broussard?s Mortuary 505 12th St. in Nederland, with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 13, 2006 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Reverend Dan Malain presiding. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.

Pallbearers will be Michael Sykes, Rene Guidry, Lindy Hebert, Joshua Sykes, J.C. Jones, Chase Castle, Johnathan Sykes and Cody Guidry.
