Jimmie Lee Beckett II, 37, of Chapmanville, departed this life Saturday, June 11, 2005, at his residence.
He was born May 3, 1968, at Chapmanville, a dearly loved son of his mother and father, Alice Scalf Beckett of Chapmanville and Jimmie Beckett of Madison.
Preceding him in death was his paternal grandfather, Wetzel Beckett, and his maternal grandparents, Mandyleen and David Scalf.
Jimmie attended Chapmanville High School and was head mechanic of Audio Viox in Virginia Beach, Va., a truck driver and a logger for Martin Fortner.
Additional survivors include one precious daughter, Vanessa P. Beckett of Gilbert; one special brother, Brian P. (Alline) Beckett of Chapmanville; his paternal grandparents, Dora and Harold Fisher of Chapmanville; one niece, Jenna Beckett; one nephew, Brandon Beckett; one special friend, Lenna Thompson, and a host of family and friends.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the Freeman Funeral Home in Chapmanville. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be Keith Bryant, Bill May, Joseph Copley, Matthew Toth, Marty Fortner, Doug Scalf, Kennith Beckett and Willard Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Hanks, Jess Phillips, Jimmy Clay, Larry Scalf and Bill Brolun.
Friends may call from 6-11 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Freeman Funeral Home at Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
