Ralph Joseph Owston of Covington died on Friday, July 5 at 3:45 a.m. at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
He was 81 years of age, a native of Braintree, Mass., and a resident of Covington for the past 19 years.
Funeral services were on Saturday morning in the parlor at Schoen Funeral Home by Father Larmann of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment was in Abita Springs Cemetery.
He was the husband of the late Marjorie Weber Owston; and the brother-in-law of Mrs. Claire Williams of Covington.

Cemetery records only list his first name Ralph in a plot purchased by Claire Williams. His grave once had a temporary marker that probably was blown away during Hurricane Katrina. The grave is located on Magnolia Lane next to the Johnson plot.
