LEO HUSTON
Funeral services for Leo Huston were conducted Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Vase Funeral Chapel. The Rev. David Wade of the First Congregational Church officiated.
Interment was in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Rock Springs.
The pallbearers were Adam Medill, Larry Fanelli, Dennis Flannery, Skip Painovich, Waynes Silvers and Tim Nousi. Honorary pallbearers were Malcolm Silvers and Orlo Clark.
Huston, 76, of 412 A St., Rock Springs, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where he had been a patient since Nov. 9th.
A resident of Rock Springs since 1936 and former resident of Omaha, Neb., Huston had been in ill health the past five years. He was born on Aug. 30, 1911, in Auburn, Neb., the son of the late Walter and Alice Curtis Huston.
He attended schools in Nebraska and married the former Grethel Lambert in Creighton, Neb., on June 5, 1935. Huston was a retired barber and former co-owner and operator of the Leo and Mels Barber Shop in Rock Springs. He was a member of the First Congregational Church.
Huston was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He served on the destroyer USS Claxton and saw action in the Pacific.
Survivors include his wife of Rock Springs; one son, Donald Leet of Samona, Calif.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Huston was preceded in death by one sister, Eva Hinkle, of Salt Lake City.
