CLIFFORD WHITE
Funeral services for Clifford White were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, corner of Ninth and Pearl St., Rock Springs. Vicar Daniel Holthus officiated. Interment was in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Chad White, David White, Clair Jelliff, Austin Skiles, Justin Skiles and Danny Bach.
White, 80, of 209 Thomas St., Rock Springs, died at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 1999, at the Veteran’s Hospital in Salt Lake City following a lengthy illness.
White had been a resident of Rock Springs for the past seven years and was a former resident of Bottineau, N.D.
He was born on Nov. 11, 1918 in Plentywood, Mont., the son of the late George B. and Bessie McCullough White. He attended schools in the Oak Valley Township.
White married the former Ruth Getzlaff on July 15, 1941 in The Willow Creek Lutheran Church.
He was a self-employed farmer and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. White was a retired U.S. Medical Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Rock Springs; two sons, Darus White and Terry White, both of Rock Springs; two daughters, Geraldine Cisco of Indianapolis, Ind., and Janice Jelliff of Grand Fords, N.D.; one brother, Alvin White of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
White was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Elliot and sister, Norine.
