Weaver, Willis Wayne, age 89, of Maryville, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois and veteran of WWII serving under the 5332nd Brigade in India and China. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Ethel Weaver; sister, Evelyn Moran; brothers, Bill and Robert Weaver. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marie Berry Weaver; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Kerry Weaver of Clifton, IL; daughters and son-in-law, Brenda Weaver and Becky and Scott Potter, all of Maryville; grandsons, Shane Weaver and wife, Sarah of Olathe, Kansas, Luke Weaver of LaSalle, IL, and Jake Potter of Maryville; sisters, Eilene Frame and June Conrad of Kankakee, IL; brother, Don Weaver of Ashkum, IL; nieces, nephews, and cousins, too many to mention. Wayne was born December 4, 1919 in Lachine, MI. In 1928 his family moved to Clifton, Illinois where he farmed for many years. His passion was farming and it showed. In 1978, he moved to Tennessee where he continued to work on local farms. Wayne was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by so many people. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Riner officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at East Maryville Baptist Church Cemetery with Shane Weaver, Luke Weaver, Jake Potter, Ernie Berry, Erwin Berry, and Bill Beason serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville.
