George W. "Buddy" Lackey was the son of Ivan P.(Tom) Lackey and Scenia Ethel Steele Lackey. His siblings are Barbara, Mary, Johnny, Ivan, William, Ethel, Carolyn, Sandra & Tommy. Buddy married Olivia Dodd in 1957, and together with brother Johnny and Olivia's sister Melba they owned and operated The Dragon Room, The Caravan Club, and the Pancake House. Buddy had a multitude of friends, and over 400 of them attended his cancer benefit. He loved music and gave up his dreams of a music career in Nashville because his family was more important to him. Buddy also loved Jesus Christ and acknowledge him as Savior to everyone he know. Buddy and Olivia were blessed with four children: Ricky, Barry, Gina & Shelly.
