He was born on Feb. 11, 1926, in the town of Westfield, Sauk County, the son of Herman and Lauretta (Horkan) Geffert.
On Oct. 6, 1946, he was united in marriage to the former Helen V. Steinhorst.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen on Dec. 22, 1985; and a brother, Jim Geffert.
