Obituary from The Wilson County News, 5/2/2001:

DOUGLASS - Iris M. Ahlerich, 89, of Douglass, died April 30, 2001.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Rock United Methodist Church. The Rev. Riet Stonger will officiate. Burial will be in Douglass Cemetery. Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.

Ahlerich was born May 16, 1911, in Rock, to Stella (Cochran) and Charles William Daley Houser.

In December 1932 she married Benjamin Franklin Ahlerich in Newkirk. He died in 1972.

Survivors include a son, . . . ; a daughter, . . . ; a sister, Catherine Jensen Hendry, Augusta; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
