All the sons of Isaac became very successful. John and James went on to Publish, Edit and Print the Poughkeepsie Eagle with their father. Edmond owned several stores including Luckey & Platt. And Henry became a chemist, owning his own company "Platt's Chemical's". He's biggest acheivement was "Platt's Chloride - the odorless disinfectant."
He married Mary Estella Smith. Together they had Raymond Platt, Mabel and Henrietta.
According to his obituary in the Practical Druggist and Review of Reviews, Apr 1902, he died in the ferry terminal of the Pennsylvania Railroad. - Thank you Alan (46966027) for the information.
