Frances Taylor Shaw, 74, of Lubbock passed suddenly from this life Monday, Feb. 18, 2008. She was born May 9, 1933, in Vera, to Robert and Amy Wiggins.
She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone from 1959 until retiring in 1989. She then went to work for Wal-Mart as an associate. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
Survivors include three sons, Steven, David, and Michael Taylor, all of Lubbock; daughter-in-law, Judi; two sisters, Aline Milam and Rosey Morgan; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Jesse, Joseph, Jared, Jennifer, Clinton, Amanda, and John; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at 10 a.m., at Sanders Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Vera Cemetery in Vera. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
The visitation is anytime Friday and Saturday morning but the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:30-8 p.m.

Frances Wiggins Taylor Shaw

Frances was born Frances Earlene Wiggins, in Vera, Texas, to Robert E and Amie Wiggins. The family moved to Arlington when she was 12 years old. She attended Arlington High School and graduated in 1952. She was married to Tommy Gray Taylor, of Grand Prairie, Nov. 16, 1951. They had three sons, Steven Gray Taylor, Michael Lynn Taylor, and David Wayne Taylor. They moved to Lubbock in 1960, where she resided until her passing Feb. 18, 2008. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone from 1962 until she retired in 1991. She was a member of the telephone pioneers. She also worked at Wal-Mart from 1999 until 2008. She divorced from Tommy Taylor in 1985 and remarried Fred J. Shaw, in 1986. They were married until his death in 1995.
Frances was a loving mother and grandmother and always put her family first. She enjoyed going to the lake, camping in Lake City, Colo., and going to South Padre Island.
Tommy Taylor and Fred Shaw preceded her in death, along with brothers, Alvin, Glenn, Paul, and Earnest; Sisters, Lera, Faye and Rachel. Since her passing a year ago, her sister, Rosa, has also passed away.
She is survived by one sister, Aline Milam, of Lubbock; Steve and David Taylor, of Lubbock; Michael and Hester Taylor, of Austin; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Jesse, Joseph, Jared, Jennifer, Clint, Amanda, and John; and five great-grandchildren.
Mother, we have missed you dearly this past year and your memory is with us daily. We love you!

Frances Wiggins Taylor Shaw
