MRS. HUBERT EMMONS DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

The funeral service for Mrs. Daisy Emmons, 67, was held in the Dollahan Methodist Church in Pinkstaff, Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. Logan Ford in charge. Burial was in the Emmons cemetery.

Mrs. Emmons died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Thursday, following many months of illness. She entered the hospital three months ago for an operation, returned home, and was again taken to the hospital for an operation.

Her husband, Hubert Emmons, died last November after a long illness.

She was born in Lawrence county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Shreffler, and after her marriage to Hubert Emmons resided six miles north of Lawrenceville for 50 years. Following the death of the husband she and her father purchased a home at 504 Lexington street.

She is survived by three children, Byron Emmons and Mrs. Constance Corder of Lawrenceville, and William Emmons of Vincennes, and two grandchildren, Patty and Jean Corder, also of Lawrenceville.
