She did live 48 years at home but spent her last 2 years at a nursing home.

Mary Sweeney, age 50, died at 3:50 a.m., Wednesday,at a nursing home in Sarcoxie after a long illness. Miss Sweeney was born March 15,1945 in Gary, Indiana.She had lived in Wentworth for 48 years. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sarcoxie. Survivors, two brothers, John Sweeney, Wentworth and James Joseph Sweeney, Dublin, Ireland. Two sisters, Rose Sweeney, Columbia and Mary Agnes McCaffery, Monett and a Aunt, Agnes Sweeney, Wentworth, with whom she resided with for many years.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sarcoxie. The Rev. Jacob Biernaki will officiate. Burial Monday in Calumet Park Cemetery, Gary, Indiana. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at Wessell Funeral Home, Pierce City.
Contributions may be made to St. Mary's School, Pierce City, in care of the funeral home.
