Grover Cleveland Mashburn, 78, retired well driller of Sevierville, TN., formerly of Maroa, died Sept. 26 in Sevierville.
He was born in Sevierville, Dec. 23, 1893, the son of Anderson and Catherine (Gibson) Mashburn. He married Lillie Loveday on July 13, 1919 in Sevierville, TN. She died April 4, 1963.
Mr. Mashburn leaves three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Himes and Mrs. Thomas (Anna) Margenthaler, Maroa and Mrs. Jack (Helen) Reeser of Farmer City; sons, Ralph Mashburn, Bruce Mashburn and Junior Mashburn, Maroa; a sister Mrs. Cassie Tarwater of Sevierville; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Five brothers and seven sisters preceded him in death.
He was a member of Hollywood Hills Baptist Church, Knoxville, TN.
Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Maroa. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery.
