Wife of James Watts III. She was born Newberry District, S.C., daughter of James Washington Williams (1771-1829) and Sarah Griffin ( ? )-1849). She died Mountville, Laurens County, S.C.
Nancy is the granddaughter of American Revolutionary War general James Henderson Williams (1740-1780)and wife Mary Wallace (1743-1804), and Richard Griffin (1734-1805) and wife Nancy Anna (Ann)Clarke (1740-1792).
General Williams died October 7, 1780 during the Battle of King's Mountain.
