Death came to Mrs. Sarah A. Blankenship, mother of Dr. E. P. Blankenship, at the family home shortly after six o'clock Tuesday evening. Mrs. Blankenship has been an invalid for many years and has been failing rapidly during the past two weeks as a result of the flu. She was born December 10, 1851, and at her death February 17, 1925, was 73 years, 2 months and 7 days of age.
Sarah A. Ing, daughter of Rev. Stanford and Mary Ing, was born in Franklin county, Illinois. She was converted in early life and held membership at time of death in the Methodist church at Thompson, Illinois. She was married to John R. Blankenship March 16, 1872, and two children resulted from this union, both surviving her, Dr. E. P. Blankenship, of this city, and Mrs. John W. House, of Kansas City. She was a dear, kindly lady but has lived the life of an invalid for many years, during which time she has been tenderly and carefully looked after by her son and made her home with him. The earnest sympathy of many friends is extended to the children and other relatives in their great loss.
