She was formerly employed as a telephone operator at the Old Eureka Telephone Co. in Corydon, the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Corydon, the E.I. Dupont Plant in Jeffersonville, H.A. Seinsheimer's Shirt Factory in New Albany and the old Charlestown Bag Plant, and was a member of Corydon Christian Church — Disciples of Christ and the VFW Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary, both in Corydon.
She passed away at Harrison County Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Lester Flanagan, and a brother, Howard Conrad. Survivors are her daughter Sheila D. Kingsley, and a granddaughter.
The funeral was at Beanblossom - Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon on Saturday 17 January at 11 a.m. Rex Griffiths, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiated. Pallbearers were Kenton Turner, Charlie Swarens, John D. Kintner, Harold Dillman, Earl Hood, K.C. Boss and Clifford Gunther.
