Jerald C. Adkison, Sumner, IL, died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at his residence. He was 67.

He was born October 10, 1937, in Bay, AR, the son of Oran Adkison and Mary Johnson Sauder. He married Janette Umfleet Adkison on May 28, 1957 and she survives.

He was a self employed truck driver and a veteran of the US Navy.

Survivors include his wife of Sumner; one son, Jim Adkison of Sumner; one daughter, Carol Polley of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, Paul Adkison of Anacoco, LA; two sisters, Saundra Charpentier of Cutoff, LA and Joy Lienenweaver of Harrisburg, AR; five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL.

Burial was in Sumner City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
