Ulysses Sidney Grant Curry was known as Grant Curry or U.S. Grant Curry. He is the son of Jacob Pratt Curry and Sarah Jane Curry (nee Buzard).

Grant married first to Sallie Ross on June 30, 1892, in DuBois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. Grant and Sally had these children: Stephen Audley 1893-1985; Blanche Marie 1895-1921 married Homer Mackey; Ross E. 1897-1928; Walter Sanford 1898-1946.

After Sallie's death in 1900, Grant remarried to Martha Elizabeth Fritz, daughter of Francis Marion Fritz and Susan A. (Susanna) Barrickman, on December 4, 1901, in Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania. To them were born these children: Kenneth Sidney 1903-1903; Howard James 1904-1981; Georgiana 1906-1951 married Clement Hurley; Ruth Mildred 1908-1972 never married; Dorothy Ellen 1910-2001 married Russell Garris; Alberta Florence 1913-2005 married Joseph Duffy; Helen Luella married George Glenn Felsing.

Obituary:
Grant Curry, 85, of 616 Eau Claire St., Butler, died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday at his residence following a lingering illness. The husband of the late Mrs. Martha Fritz Curry, he was a member of the First Methodist Church of Butler. Surviving are two sons, Stephen of Butler and Howard of Butler R.D. 2; four daughers, Miss Ruth M. Curry at home, Mrs. Dorothy Garris of Butler M.R. 11, Mrs. Alberta Duffy of Butler R.D. 5 and Mrs. Helen Felsing of Butler M.R. 10; two brothers, George and Jay Curry, both of DuBois, a sister, Mrs. Adda Spencer of Centralia, Wash.; 25 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Buried May 15, 1953, Rose Hill Cemetery, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
